The Maintenance Department provides maintenance and upkeep of all City properties. Properties include: City Hall, five City parks, and the building that houses the Food Bank. The Maintenance Department is also responsible for assisting with code enforcement. Don’t be surprised to see Bob driving the City tractor mowing weeds that are overgrown or cleaning up trash in and around the City.

Star City Parks
Star is proud of its growing park system. People of all ages are encouraged to enjoy each park and its various amenities.
Blake Haven Park11225 W. Blake Drive
Blake Haven Park is 4.01 acres and was donated to the City by the Dale Blake family in 2003. The park features playground equipment for younger children, swings, horseshoe pits, and open space for activities. Tables, benches, and barbecues are available, as well as a gazebo for gatherings and public restrooms.
Westpointe Park11080 W. Floating Feather
Westpointe Park is located at the end of Star Road on Floating Feather Road. This 2.4 acre park was donated to the City in 2008 and was developed as a dog friendly park with plenty of space to let your dog run or play in the water. Picnic tables and benches for sitting are available.
River Park and Walking Path1000 S. Main Street
The River Park parcels were purchased in 2009 and 2011 to create a 4.76 acre park as an entry to a walking path along the Boise River. The public and enjoy a leisurely walk along he nature trail, rest at strategically placed benches, throw their fishing poles into the river, or picnic in the grassy park area. Picnic tables and a portable restroom are available.
Hunters Creek Sport Complex1500 N. Star Road
The City purchased the 18.04 acres at the corner of Star Road and Floating Feather Road to create a sports complex for the citizens of Star. The complex will feature sport fields for adult and youth baseball, soccer, football, a skateboard park and picnic areas.
